Eyelash Extensions

Glam Lash Semi-Permanent Individual Eyelash Extensions

Glam Lash eyelash extensions are semi-permanent and last 2-3 months - they only fall out along with the natural lashes as they go through their natural shedding cycle (if cared for appropriately). Each individual strand is glued to a separate, individual natural eyelash using a high grade rubber toughened adhesive - creating a totally seamless, natural look. The eyelash extensions can be customized to each client whether they want a natural or dramatic effect (Semi-permanent eyelash extensions are not to be confused with temporary cluster/party lashes).

As a natural lash sheds it will take the extension attached to it along with it, gradually creating gaps between extensions. Infills should be carried out every 2-3 weeks to maintain the desired effect. Natural lashes are all in different stages of the growth cycle at any given time, which is why some extensions can last up to 3 months, while others will come out sooner. If a client wants the lashes removed this must be done professionally with a solution that dissolves the adhesive.

A patch test MUST be carried out on the client at least 24-48 hours before the treatment, in order to be sure that the client will not have an adverse reaction to the adhesive. This is carried out by applying two extensions to each eye of the client, which are the same length as the natural lashes.

Benefits of Semi-Permanent Individual Eyelash Extensions:

  • They can last 2-3 months.
  • They look natural
  • They are applied to individual eyelashes.
  • They are weightless and flexible.
  • Individual extensions come off when the individual lashes they are glued to shed - they don't pull lashes out.
  • They make the eyes appear bigger and lifted.
  • The look can be tailored to the needs and desire of each individual client.

Aftercare and Advice:

  • Have eyelash extensions removed professionally.
  • Do not attempt to remove the lashes by pulling them - your natural lashes will be pulled out along with them.
  • Do not allow water to come in contact with the eyelashes for the first 24 hours.
  • For the first 24-48 hours do not wash the eyeas or lashes with hot water, have steam or sauna treatments, or go swimming.
  • ONLY use water soluble mascara (available from Divine Beauty). Do not apply it to the roots of the lashes as removing it from the adhesive areas can weaken the bonding of the extensions.
  • Do not use eye make-up remover AT ALL on or around the lashes. It can weaken the adhesive, causing lashes to fall out.
  • Do not use any oil-based products near the lashes, such as moisuriser or eye cream.
  • Maintain the desired look by having infills every 2-3 weeks (any longer and they will have to be me removed and a new full set applied.
  • If you have fair eyelashes it is recommended that you also have an eyelash tint before having the extensions applied, so they match and blend into to natural lashes.
